SALLY FERGUSON

Sally Ferguson DOB 1.12.1958. in Kent. Spent most of my youth in Farnham Surrey. Lived abroad in East Pakistan ( now Bangladesh) age 6-9.

Studied sciences at school and technical college. Then Medicine at the University of Newcastle Upon Tyne . My good friend was an architecture student and eventually I took up sketching on holiday.

After working in London for some years specialising in Obstetrics and Gynaecology went to work in Kong Kong.  Married , had children, worked hard. Worked in other places in my 50s, Singapore, Lesotho, Nepal and final short stint abroad was in Papua New Guinea. During this time I painted more and took classes. 

I thank Helen Bronte Boyd, Gary Young, Gina Deardon, and Alison Orchard, artist friends along the way.

I try things out- mostly my work is figurative following on from the urban sketching. 

Now I am on a further journey, having recently signed up for a MA Fine Art.
